La Traviata.

Opera in tre atti di Giuseppe Verdi

Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino - Firenze - Italy

A transposition into the Paris of 1968, that of a free socio-sexual life demanded and implemented, characterized this staging of La Traviata by the Maggio Fiorentino, freely inspired by the cult film “Belle de Jour” by Luis Buñuel.
The scene is imagined in a sort of sixties casino, in which an old smoking waitress wanders, who since the prelude brings coffee to the various rooms, from which customers emerge from time to time; between feminist slogans that appear majestically on the walls, video wall paintings and projections that come to life among the impetuous chiaroscuro that characterize the scenes.

La Traviata, opera in three acts by Giuseppe Verdi with libretto by Francesco Maria Piave, directed by Davide Livermore, sets by Giò Forma.
