16/10/2025 – @fao MuNe – Food and Agriculture Museum and Network opens in Rome!
On FAO’s 80th anniversary and World Food Day, the doors of FAO MuNe officially opened this morning at FAO headquarters, in a ceremony presided over by FAO Director-General QU Dongyu and President Sergio Mattarella.
Designed by Giò Forma, the museum’s creative, spatial, and emotional identity transforms 1,300 m² into an immersive journey exploring the relationship between food, culture, and sustainability.
Collaborations with internationally renowned artists such as Michelangelo Pistoletto and Pablo Atchugarry bring FAO’s mission to life in a tangible, inclusive, and inspirational environment.
FAO MuNe blends art, science, heritage, and technology, serving as a hub for students, families, and international visitors, both in-person and online.
The museum reflects FAO’s commitment to Better Production, Better Nutrition, a Better Environment, a Better Life, inspiring a sustainable and inclusive food future for all.
