Cirfood District, Reggio Emilia (2022)

La Nuvola is a site-specific, kinetic installation devised for the CIRFOOD DISTRICT in Reggio Emilia, design by Giò Forma engineered by Leva.

It’s a 3D Display of hundreds of dynamic split-flap modules, each conveying various food-related content to captivate professionals and younger audiences.

Meticulously engineered and constructed for durability and precision, La Nuvola relies on bespoke mechanisms and proprietary software, each component rigorously tested to promise a flawless performance. Its capabilities extend to projecting up to thirty-six distinct animations, showcasing the epitome of versatility. The content schedule may be programmed and customised through a dedicated control interface that allows great flexibility in operations.

Upon entering the CIRFOOD DISTRICT, visitors engage in a colourful line-up of dynamic contents. Yet, La Nuvola does not merely serve as a visual spectacle. It operates as an info-point and a dynamic educational platform, consistently unveiling insights about the multifaceted food world.
